Costarica: the Final Gift to My Mother
By admin | February 14, 2010
For as long as I can remember, my mom was fascinated by that country. For some reason, Costarica held an incredible fascination for her. I suppose it was the profusion of plant and animal life that the country is famous for, since wildlife of every stripe has always been one of Mom’s passions. After being diagnosed with terminal cancer, my mother’s obsession with the country became a daily thing. In the end, all of us pitched in and decided to take her on a trip to the place she had hankered after going for at least fifty years. Now that she has passed on, we have lovely memories and photographs to look back on, as well as the knowledge that we helped to make her dream come true.
