Worth Every Penny for Sure

Most of my hikes this year have been done in sunshine and lovely weather, and I’m very happy about that. However, this last weekend gave me a chance to test out my new boots in wet conditions. They have a waterproof membrane, and as I’ve never had waterproof hiking boots before I was eager to see how they performed. I’m impressed! No wet feet or horrible soaked socks like I used to get in the rain with my old boots. I think from now on I will be less reluctant to go on hikes when it looks like it might rain. It turns out it can actually be a great experience if you don’t have to worry about wet feet.
