Anchors for carports

By admin | May 10, 2010

Anchors used for fixing carports to the ground are normally supplied with the kit and what they are basically is an “L” shaped galvanised steel bit with a hole on each wing.

One hole is attached to the post of the carport with a nut and bolt and the other wing is attached to the concrete slab with a dyna bolt. That is basically the way how the carport is anchored to the slab or the same procedure is used for anchoring it to footing. This has become the most common procedure.

Carports require at least 100mm tick slab for construction.
