Foods Rich In Protein

Foods that are rich in proteins and are lean are extremely beneficial because they not only build muscular mass, but also keep the body trim and in shape. Bison meat is one of the lean protein foods and contains only 24 grams of carbohydrates, measuring less than the carbohydrate value of chicken.  Pork tenderloin and fish meat are also extremely good lean protein foods. The proteins from the food sources are broken down into amino acids, which enter the blood stream and are used as building blocks by the cells in the body. Consuming foods that are low in fat and high in protein content assist in getting rid of unwanted weight, while keeping the body in good health.
