I Don’t Understand the Difference Between Dish Network and Direct TV

I have been trying to decide what to do for my TV service. If you listen to all the different options, it can become really confusing. I asked my son-in-law what he thinks would be the best move for me, and his answer was different from my son’s. I really can’t seem to make an informed decision between dish vs directtv, probably because I don’t really understood either system fully. I guess maybe the solution for me will be to just go with the cheaper one as long as I can still get my favorite channels. I love to watch all the home decorating programs, and having the cooking shows is a must.
